Multiple stabbed in Sydney days after shopping mall massacre

Days after a massacre in a Sydney shopping mall, authorities reported that several people were stabbed Monday in the same city. 

The suspect has been apprehended from Wakeley, western Sydney, after multiple stabbing reports. 

The condition of the victims is said to be non-life threatening. 

ABC reported that four people have been injured at a church in Sydney’s south-west, with NSW Ambulance saying that a man in his 50s has been taken to Liverpool Hospital for stabbing injuries.

Other three are being given medical assistance at the scene.

A man in his 30s is also among the injured. Two others sustained lacerations to the arm and hand.

NSW Police said: “Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command attended a location on Welcome Street, Wakeley following reports a number of people were stabbed. The community is urged to avoid the area.”
